The County of Pike is soliciting bids from prospective contractors to perform improvements to approximately 0.83 miles of existing roadway. Work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and services for the reconstruction of the existing gravel road. Scope includes items associated with traffic control, grading, erosion control, new road grading and construction, striping, drainage/storm pipe installation, asphalt paving, utilities and other related construction items. This project may be funded fully or partially by State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and is subject to compliance with funding agency regulations. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a Bond issued by a surety acceptable to the County. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Pike County as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that bidder has been awarded the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
