Electrical Services Lynchburg District Zones 1 & 2 The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to establish a time and materials contract(s) to provide on-call, as-needed Electrical services within the Lynchburg District and in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). The Contractor shall possess a Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Contractor's license Class "A" or Class "B" with Electrical additional license specialty designation. Award will be made on a per Lot basis: Lot 1: City of Lynchburg and Campbell County Lot 2: Pittsylvania, Halifax, and Charlotte Counties VDOT may add or remove sites within these lots during the life of this contract. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: To be determined at the time of award through one year (renewable) The Contractor(s) shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and incidentals as necessary to provide Electrical services, on a time and materials basis, to the facilities owned and operated by the Virginia Department of Transportation, Lynchburg District. Examples of Services: Services that may be requested within this solicitation include, but are not limited to furnishing, installing, replacing, repairing, relocating, servicing, maintaining, upgrading: a. Electrical services both overhead and underground. b. Electrical panels to include but not limited to single phase 120/240, 3 phase 120/208, 120/240 c. Power racks to include but not limited to meter base, CT cabinet, TVSS, grounding, etc. d. Circuit breakers e. Building, site, utility, and equipment wiring f. Service outlets and light fixtures g. Motor-operated equipment and control circuits h. Pumps i. Impedance heating systems j. Exterior building and pole lighting k. Raceways/cable to include but not limited to conduit, EMT, FMC, LFMC, LFNC, MC, RNC, RSC l. Trenching and back filling m. Troubleshooting n. Preventative maintenance o. Coordination with utility companies when required p. Provide sketches/diagrams q. Providing technical design guidance 3. Service Repairs: The Contractor shall have qualified service personnel available for "as needed" on-call repairs twentyfour hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year. The Commonwealth reserves the right to conduct any test/inspection it may deem advisable to assure goods and services conform to the specifications.
