Refuse Disposal and Hauling at Grover Hot Springs State Park in Markleeville CA, Alpine County Scope of Work: Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) services as described herein: Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to collect, haul and dispose of refuse from various locations within Grover Hot Springs State Park. All bins must be "Bear Resistant" with lockable steel lids. Work to be performed as specified in Exhibit A, Attachment 1 - Refuse Disposal Specifications and Exhibit A, Attachment 2 - Bin Locations , which are attached hereto and made part of this agreement. In the event that unforeseen circumstances require continued services, this agreement for refuse disposal may be amended to extend the term and add funds, at the same rates, with mutual consent of the parties hereto. Facsimile (FAX) responses will not be considered. Any bid received after the time set for the bid opening will be returned to the sender unopened. Public Opening of Bids: Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time and place indicated on the Invitation for Bids. Bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to be present at the bid opening. In the case of a tie bid, the determination of a successful bidder will be made by a coin toss in the presence of all interested bidders. Rejection of Bids: Bids may be rejected if they show any alteration of form, additions not called for, conditioned bids, incomplete bids, or irregularities of any kind. Only those bids which cover all the work called for, and meet all requirements specified will be considered. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Contract Award: The contract award, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder who complies with all the requirements specified in the bid solicitation documents, which include, among others, the Invitation for Bids, Instructions to Bidders for Refuse Disposal Service, Specifications, Bid Form, and when applicable, Additional Instructions to Bidders, and the DVBE Compliance Certification and Documentation. Contractor agrees that the bodily injury insurance and the automobile liability insurance herein provided for shall be in effect at all times during the term of this contract. In the event said insurance coverage expires at any time or times during the term of this contract, the Contractor agrees to provide the Department of Parks and Recreation, at least thirty (30) days prior to said expiration date, a new Certificate of Insurance evidencing coverage as provided for herein for not less than the remainder of the term of the contract, or for a period of not less than one (1) year. New Certificates of Insurance are subject to the approval of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Contractor agrees that no services shall be performed prior to the giving of such approval.
