Site work and paving for a civil project in Tryon, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for all work tasks associated with the 2024 Water and Sewer System Improvement, generally consisting of: • Installation of approximately 2,730 LF of 8” PVC SDR 35 sanitary sewer mains • Installation of approximately 140 LF of 8” DIP sanitary sewer mains • Installation of approximately 50 LF of 16” steel encasement pipe with 8” DIP sanitary sewer main. • Installation of approximately 26 manholes • Installation of approximately 390 LF of 6” CIPP lining. • Residential service reconnections • Associated pavement repairs • The installation, maintenance, and removal of erosion control facilities • Other associated appurtenances for a complete and proper installation Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner, and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written “Notice to Proceed” from the Owner and to obtain substantial completion of the project within 150 consecutive calendar days. The project must be fully completed and approved for final payment within 180 consecutive calendar days from date of written “Notice to Proceed”. If substantial completion is not achieved within the specified time, the Bidder may become liable fo liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day for each day the project remains uncompleted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids.
