No definite date for the rebid.** Prequalification statements are solicited for General Contractors interested in bidding on the University of Montevallo - School of Nursing - Phase 2. This entails the renovation of approximately 4,100 SF of the main level of Myrick Hall to accommodate the second phase of the University of Montevallo's School of Nursing (SoN) program and 550 SF in the basement for UM's Exercise Science program. The prequalification procedure is intended to identify responsible and competent bidders relative to the requirements of the Project. Only General Contractors who have completed the prequalification process within the stated time limits, and which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for prequalification for the Work of this project. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the University of Montevallo. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technical errors and/or abandon the prequalification and bid process if, in their judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Pre- bid notes: Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference IS REQUIRED for all prequalified General Contractor Bidders intending to submit a Proposal. Bids from General Contractors not attending the Pre-Bid Conference will be rejected. A site visit immediately following the pre-bid conference will be conducted, which is recommended but does not require attendance.
