Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Farmington, Utah. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construct a well house for a new well. Include a full water treatment system, concrete and asphalt work, and utility lines. Farmington City is in the need for another well house. Work will require the installation of the new building, utility lines, treatment stations, piping, electrical, asphalt and concrete work, etc. The supplier treatment system is specified to be model C-2000. The Work generally consists of Construction of the well house, piping, and all other appurtenances required to supply to water from this source into the system. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. A. Submit questions via the Bidding Documents Website and in writing to Joshua Prettyman, P.E. Horrocks at Joshua.prettyman@horrocks.com. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Question are due Tuesday November 19th, 2024. Questions received after this data may not be answered. Answers will be provided to the questions on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. A. The Work will be substantially complete within 275 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 300 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated Damages A. Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence as stated in Paragraph 4.01 above and that Owner will suffer financial and other losses if the Work is not completed and Milestones not achieved within the Contract Times, as duly modified. The parties also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving, in a legal or arbitration proceeding, the actual loss suffered by Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty): 1. Substantial Completion: Contractor shall pay Owner [substantial LDs] for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete.
