Project scope includes but is not limited to: Remove existing meter boxes and replace with new HDPE meter boxes on existing 5/8, , 1, 1-1/2 and 2 meters. Materials to construct the meter box assemblies (boxes and brass fittings) will be provided by the District. Service line verification required. Any meter boxes located in hardscape areas will require a saw cut to complete. The Bidder will be responsible for site restoration in greenspace (i.e. resodding). The scope is further defined and detailed within the Plans, Technical Specifications and General Conditions associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. This is a State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Project and contractor must meet all SRF Supplementary Conditions and Requirements. All work performed shall follow all Federal, State, Local, District, OSHA and department mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. Bidders will be required to submit a sealed Statement of Qualifications Package per the Schedule provided. This pre-qualification is the first step of a two-step process for this bid. Once determined Pre-Qualified by the Board of Supervisors, the sealed Price Proposal packages will be opened and the lowest most responsive, responsible bidder will be awarded the contract contingent upon approval by the Board. Work generally consists of removing old meter boxes and replacing with new boxes and meter assembly within the Gateway Services CDD Utility Service Area. The old meter boxes are composed of plastic (7%), plastic w/ metal lids (88%), and concrete (5%)The CONTRACTOR agrees to perform all the work necessary to complete all items listed below. The OWNER has the right to accept or reject any or all part of a submitted bid. This project requires the Contractor to be properly and appropriately licensed and insured in the State of Florida, Fort Myers and Lee County, Florida. The DISTRICT will require a Bid Security/Bond and a Public Construction Bond on this project. Project documents and specifications can be viewed at the Administration Building, Gateway Services CDD. The District reserves the right, in its sole judgment in the best interest of the District, to waive any informalities in any bids; to make award(s) including multiple awards; to waive any non-substantive, in District's sole judgment, irregularity or technicality in bids received, and/or to reject any or all bids.
