This project involves the replacement of the existing 14' x 20' steel beam bridge with a new twin 12' x 7' precast concrete box culvert, including paving and grading. Bidders shall provide a bid security in the amount defined in the Instructions to Bidders- Division 1 Section 05. Est. Value: $ 429,300.00 Site Directions: Katoski Drive at Branch Black Hawk Creek 1480 feet east of Cedar Heights Drive. The successful Bidder shall furnish to the City a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contractandguaranteeingthecompletedprojectagainstdefectiveworkmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from and after completion and acceptance by the City. The successful Bidder shall also provide a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing payment of all persons supplying labor and materials, or both, in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. The work under the proposed contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed and shall be performed regularly and diligently throughout the duration of the project. All work shall be completed within 100 calendar days. Calendar days will be accumulated concurrently from the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed. The accumulation of calendar days may be suspended between November 15 and April 1, if approved by the City of Cedar Falls. Katoski Drive must be fully open to traffic in all directions while calendar days are suspended. The City of Cedar Falls reserves the right to reject any and all proposals including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids.
