Demolition and site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Ormond Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Ormond Beach is seeking quotes for demolition and removal of racquet ball courts and 50 feet of fence. Work will include disposal of debris away from work site. The City reserves the following rights: to waive informalities in any bid/proposal/quote; to reject any or all bids/proposals/quotes or portions of bids/proposals/quotes; to accept any bid/proposal/quote or portions of bids/proposals/quotes deemed to be in the best interest of the City; and to negotiate or refuse to negotiate with any offer. The District is seeking a vendor to provide glass replacement services. Vendor will be expected to repair/replace broken glass at District Facilities. This contract is intended for Glass Replacement and Related Glass Repair Service. Work to include but not limited to furnishing and installing glazing for hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum frames, furnishing(table tops) and installing glazing for plastic laminate faced doors and windows. Other related work includes hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum entrances and storefronts, and building sealants (sealant between frame and building surface). Vendors responsibility will include but not limited to remove and reinstall windows; re-caulk exterior perimeter of window frames; removal/re-caulking around window sill area; replace/reseal flashing, sills, perimeter; tinting of windows, replacing gasket around window, etc. The Maintenance and Operations Department will contact the awarded contractor(s) for service to be performed based on the urgency of glass replacement and installation service. The contractor shall provide a "not to exceed" cost estimate (quote) for each service required, with actual costs billed at the labor rate and material costs awarded on this contract. Example: total labor hours, labor rate and material cost and any additional charges required for project completion. The Maintenance and Operations Department will review the quote and if acceptable authorize work to be charged to a purchase order. The vendor shall not perform any service without prior written approval by a representative of the District instructing them to proceed and informing them ofthe purchase order number to be used for the work, The contractor shall barricade work area with safety fencing and/or any caution signs to prevent people from entering the work area. The job site shall be in a clean, safe and orderly condition at all times. It shall be the responsibility ofthe contractor to remove debris, materials, and equipment from the job site on a daily basis and upon completion of the project. Clean glazing channels and framing members receiving glass immediately before glazing. Remove coatings not firmly bonded to substrates. Comply with manufacturer instructions for wiping of surfaces immediately before application of primers. Wipe metal surfaces with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) unless otherwise required by compatibility and adhesion testing results. Inspect each piece of glass immediately before installation. Do not install pieces improperly sized or with damaged edges, scratches, abrasions, or evidence of damage. Remove labels from glass immediately after installation. Examine glazing units to locate exterior and interior surfaces. Label or mark units so exterior and interior surfaces are readily identifiable. Do not use materials that leave visible marks in the completed work. 11. Seal vent (breather or capillary) tubes in insulating glass units in accordance with insulating glass manufacturer written recommendations.
