As of January 27, 2025, a design firm has been selected. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (District) is requesting proposals for engineering consulting services (RFP) associated with our Nine Springs Valley Interceptor (NSVI) Capacity Improvements (project). This RFP is seeking an engineering consultant for design of approximately 3,245 linear feet of pipe to replace the existing 48-inch RCP pipe that is in poor condition and will need capacity upgrades by 2027. Proposals should also address qualifications for construction services, however fees for construction services are intended to be addressed later under a future contract amendment. This project is one phase (Phase 2) of an overall larger project - the Nine Springs Valley Interceptor Capacity Improvements Project. Other portions of the overall larger project (Phases 1, 3, and 4) are considered a separate project and are not intended to be included in this RFP.
