The project is located at Cone Park, 3800 Line Drive and includes a public outdoor destination patio near the lodge, consisting of concrete pavement, a synthetic turf multi-use area, multiple types of lighting, grading, limited storm sewer infrastructure, natural gas fire pits, overhead structures, pressure treated wood fencing, custom wood partitions, landscaping and seeding. There are four alternates for this project: Alternate A is for a wooden backdrop, Alternates B. and C. are for electrical improvements, and Alternate D. is for swings attached to the overhead structure. Site Address: 3800 Line Drive Question Deadline 11/19/2024 Site Directions: Cone Park, 3800 Line Drive The work on this project shall begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be fully completed, with the exception of the installation of the plant material and site restoration, by July 15, 2025. Final installation of all plant material and site restoration shall be completed by October 15, 2025. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, readvertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor.
