Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brenham, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 11,713-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for paving for a fire / police facility.
SCOPE OF WORK: Project consists of new construction of a 10,335 square foot fire station. Site work will include earthwork, paving, sidewalks, parking, site utilities, storm drainage, and landscaping. Building construction will include structural slab on piers, structural steel superstructure, CFMS and CMU framing, brick / siding / metal panel exterior, metal stud interior partitions, standing seam metal & modified bitumen roofing systems, storefront windows & entry doors, hollow metal & wood doors, hardware, ceilings, flooring, painting, millwork, fire suppression, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Certified Check of the bidder on a State or National Bank in the State of Texas, or a bid bond prepared on the standard form of bid bond, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company, approved by the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid. Such checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three (3) lowest bidders within three (3) days after the opening of bids and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Owner and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, or, if no award has been made within 90 days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project in 365 consecutive calendar days. Although a firm timeline has not been confirmed, construction is not expected to start prior to first quarter 2025. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
