Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Gallagher Park - Phase 3: City of Omaha is requesting bids from qualified companies, herein called Bidder, Contractor, Vendor, Supplier, or other pronouns used in their place, for all work and/or goods set forth in the specifications. Requirement for Bid Bond: The surety company issuing the bid bond should be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). LETTERS OF CREDIT ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR A BID BOND AND WOULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID. Question Cut Off Date 11/13/2024 02:00:00 PM (CT) QUESTIONS: Bidders must submit bid questions in the Questions tab of the bid event. Questions will be answered no later than November 15, 2024. Bids received after the time and date established for receiving bids will be rejected. Plans and specifications may also be examined (but not obtained) at the Omaha Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department, 1819 Farnam Street - Suite 701, Omaha, Nebraska 68183-0701, Monday -Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. There will not be a pre-bid meeting scheduled for this bid. This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 0% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, 'Instructions to Bidders", Part 2.16, "Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business". This project does not require the bidder to submit an Economic Equity and Inclusion Program (EEIP) Plan or an approved EEIP Certificate with their bid. As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the "City of Omaha". Failure to do so will be cause for rejection. City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond, a payment bond, and a warranty bond, each in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, as security for the faithful performance bond, payment bond, and warranty bond of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract, Fire, Workmen's Compensation, Public Liability and Property Damage insurance, all as required in the aforesaid specifications and addenda, and remain in effect until two years after the date of Final Completion unless otherwise noted. All proposals or bids, as a guarantee that the bidder will comply with requirements provided herein with reference to the furnishing of a "Performance Bond, a Payment Bond, and a Maintenance Bond" (refer to Part 2.09 above) and required insurance, must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Bid Security in the form of a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's check drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the State of Nebraska, payable to the City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable), in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid or in the amount specified in the bid specifications, which shall be considered as liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the City of Omaha, if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to enter into the contract for which the proposal or bid was made. Nothing shall prevent the bidder from filing a duly executed bid bond with duly licensed corporate surety of the State of Nebraska with the City of Omaha as obligee. Estimated value from $1,500,000 to $2,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
