Letcher County Fiscal Court has experienced damages due to a flooding event occurring in July 2022 (DR-4663-KY). The Court is seeking bids for residential asbestos abatement services. Any contractor that currently has overdue work for the county is ineligible for additional work from the county until overdue projects are completed. There are no approved landfills in Letcher County (Laurel County and Boyd County have approved landfills, and are likely the closest. Pike County's landfill will not accept the debris).
