Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
DCAMM Certified General Contractors are sought for the following category bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept that which is deemed in the best interest of the City. The City shall not be responsible for bids arriving late for any reason Question Deadline 11/28/2024 Any prospective bidder requesting a change in or interpretation of existing specifications of terms and conditions must do so at least (5) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, before the scheduled bid opening date Demolition and removal of an existing concrete, steel, and masonry building and ancillary wood building structures, utility abandonment, earthwork, stabilization, and site improvements a. Demolition of the existing building and site improvements. b. Provide temporary barriers in front of the building to restrict all vehicles during nonconstruction operation times and fencing to secure site perimeter. c. Disconnection of electrical, gas, water and sewer lines, and removal of underground lines. d. Building abatement, site remediation, and demolition of transformer by Utility Company. e. Abatement of asbestos containing material including but not limited to floors, walls, caulking, pipe insulation, and vapor barrier. f. Removal of refrigerants g. Site Demolition, including but not limited to, concrete paving, steps, ramps and areaways adjacent to the building. h. Demolition of asphalt paving up to street. i. Tree removal, tree protection, filling, grading, and loam and seeding of the site.
