SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICE The work to be done under this contract includes the furnishing of solid waste curbside collection in the Borough of Fairview for up to five (5) years and the commencement date for such service is April 1, 2025. Each bid shall be: (I) Made upon the blank bid form furnished with the contract documents and specifications; (2) Accompanied by the fully completed Questionnaire Concerning Experience of the Bidder; (3) Accompanied by an unconditioned and irrevocable Consent of Surety from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required unconditioned Performance Bond upon the award of the contract; and (4) Accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or unconditioned Bid Bond made payable to the Borough of Fairview in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000. Such check or unconditioned Bid Bond shall be made payable or in favor of the Borough of Fairview, and shall be held as guarantee that, in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the contract will be duly executed, and its performance properly secured and in default thereof, said check or unconditioned Bid Bond in the full amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the Borough of Fairview as liquidated damages. All bids must be enclosed in a properly sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder and the nature of the bid contained therein. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish an unconditioned Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract for a one-year period to be renewed yearly from an approved surety company or trust company licensed in the State of New Jersey conditioned upon the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the contract documents and specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 and Affirmative Action and Executive Order 11246 regarding equal employment opportunity. Addenda may be issued by the Borough of Fairview prior to the opening of the bids and will become part of the specifications.
