The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) invites prospective bidders to review and respond to the attached Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number #24C370007 entitled, CHP Oakland Area office Bullet Resistant Glass Replacement Services. When preparing and submitting a bid, compliance with the instructions found herein is imperative. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Requirements California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5%. Bidders are eligible to receive a DVBE incentive for their participation. For more information regarding this option, see section M of the IFB entitled Preference and Incentive Programs. The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Bullet Resistant Glass Replacement Services. Bids must address all of the services described in Exhibit A entitled, "Scope of Work" that is included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of this IFB. Exhibit A contains a detailed description of the services and work to be performed as a result of this IFB including those terms in the referenced exhibits. The CHP intends to make a single agreement award to the responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest bid. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Oakland Area Office, the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Bullet Resistant Glass Replacement Services in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement. A. License Requirement/Certification: Contractor must possess a valid C-17 Glazing Contractor, California Contractor's State License Board License (CSLB). B. Contractor shall provide a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with the Insurance Requirements found in this Agreement (Exhibit E). C. Contractor shall provide a Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the value of the Agreement. Contractor shall complete State of California Standard 807, in duplicate, and submit prior to execution of Agreement. 2. The services shall be performed at: Department of California Highway Patrol Oakland Area office 3601 Telegraph Avenue Oakland, CA 94609 3. The services shall be provided during: All work shall be performed on regular business hours unless other arrangements have been made with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and Area office contact. A work schedule will be established with the on-site contact to assure a minimum of interruptions of the essential state operation and Contractor's work.
