The Consultant Team shall review all background information to date to inform designs, develop detailed scope and cost estimates, and implement the capital improvements. The Consultant Team will be expected to provide professional services for improvements to existing restroom facilities based on the following scope of work: Provide design, permitting, construction cost estimate, construction administration and project close-out services. All design documents will be submitted to SPR's Project Review (Proview) process for review. SPR anticipates that designs for multiple (if not all) of the restrooms identified in the Background section will be incorporated into consolidated bid package(s) for public works bidding. Question Deadline 11/15/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Response Submission Deadline November 28, 2024, 12:00pm All locations should include the following: o Verify and update previously made evaluations o Improve and enhance the design through design development o Update facilities to meet accessibility compliance, including plumbing fixtures o Update accessibility route between adjacent ADA parking stall(s), the closest pedestrian sidewalk and or play areas to the restrooms to meet accessibility compliance Design services should also be tailored to each the conditions and needs of each location(s), work includes but not limited to: Roof replacement, roof and flashing repair, gutter replacement, Modifications to create accessibly compliance toilet stalls. Redesign interior layout to allow single occupant use to meet accessibly standards. Patch floor or floor refinishing with epoxy coating. Update or replace interior lighting. Update accessible route to each restroom from park entrance or adjacent play structures or other amenities. Remedy deteriorated exterior CMU walls, tuck point and seal exterior walls where needed. Assess unreinforced masonry (URM) structures for potential seismic retrofitting. Add ceramic tile to interior walls where needed. Update plumbing fixtures. Modify or repair restroom entry doors. Improve ventilation and appearance, add louvers to windows. The project duration from design thru completion shall be between January 2025 through February 2027. The design phase is expected to be complete with permits, and construction bid documents, by October 2025. This section details City instructions and requirements for your submittal.
