Demolition of (9) Residential Properties Demolition Permit Applications must be submitted to the Community and Economic Development Department within 7 days of notice of award Demolition, asbestos abatement, and site restoration to be completed within 30 days of contract being awarded unless deadline extended by Community and Economic Development Director The City of Freeport requests bids from qualified companies to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the demolition of identified properties and remove all structures, accessory buildings, fences, driveways and scrub trees within property lines. Question Deadline 11/11/2024 Any such protest or question regarding the specifications or invitation to bid procedures must be received by the Community and Economic Development Director not less than seventy-two hours prior to the time set for the opening For the demolition and asbestos abatement services of the following residential properties: 217 N. Henderson Avenue 18-14-29-351-002 425 S. Float Avenue 18-14-32-152-001 441 S. Benton Avenue 18-14-31-286-002 622 E. Winneshiek Street 18-14-32-154-028 626 E. Winneshiek Street 18-14-32-154-029 634 N. Warren Avenue 18-13-25-378-012 706 E. Winneshiek Street 18-14-32-154-034 712 S. Pine Avenue 18-14-31-303-030 1208 S. Rotzler Avenue 18-14-32-358-016 Bid Security Bond of 5% of Base Bid required. A bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check equal to the amount specified is acceptable in lieu of a bid bond. When required by the specifications herein, the awarded vendor shall furnish a performance bond equal to the amount of the contract, acceptable to the City, within 14 calendar days after notification of contract award. Failure to furnish the required bond within the time specified may be cause for rejection of the bid and any bid deposit may be retained by the City as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The City of Freeport reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or proposals at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to the Freeport City Council or the funding grantor not appropriating sufficient funds to complete the project.
