FM Rehabilitation Old Katy and Cook Road LS A. Old Katy Road Force Main 1. Installation of approximately 7,290 LF of 20-in (16.1-inch inside diameter) HDPE DR11 force main by open cut as shown in drawings. 2. Installation of approximately 578 LF of 20-in HDPE DR11 force main by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) across the intersection of Dairy Ashford Road and Memorial Drive as shown in drawings. 3. Installation of approximately 630 LF of 20-in HDPE DR11 force main in 36- inch steel casing by trenchless construction across the TxDOT ROW for IH10 as shown in drawings. 4. Installation of one (1) 96-inch force main discharge manhole and construction of 10 LF of 24-inch PVC sewer to tie-in to existing gravity sewer at MH WDP01084. 5. Installation of three (3) 3-inch stainless steel combination air release valves in corrosion resistant concrete manholes, four (4) 16-inch isolation plug valves in corrosion resistant concrete manholes, and two (2) 8-inch drain/blowoff valves in corrosion concrete manholes. 6. Abandonment of approximately 8,600 LF of existing 16-inch ductile iron force main and air release valves as shown in drawings. B. Cook Road Force Main 1. Installation of approximately 2,670 LF of 26-in (20.9-inch inside diameter) HDPE DR11 force main by open cut as shown in drawings. 2. Installation of one (1) 96-inch force main discharge manhole at downstream end and connect new force main to 36-inch gravity sewer. 3. Installation of a 96-inch bypass manhole with isolation valves at the lift station site. 4. Installation of two (2) 3-inch stainless steel combination air release valves in corrosion resistant concrete manholes, one (1) 20-inch isolation plug valve in corrosion resistant concrete manhole, and one (1) 8-inch drain/blowoff valve in corrosion concrete manhole. 5. Abandonment of approximately 2,600 LF of existing 20-inch cast iron force main and air release valves as shown in drawings. C. Project also includes roadway pavement reconstruction/repairs, concrete curbs and gutters, medians, pavement markings, tree protection plan, traffic control plan, storm water pollution prevention plan, and other work associated and required for the successful completion of the project. D. Pavement replacement limits shown in the drawings will be paid at the unit price established/included in the Bid Form. E. Pavement repair of utility trench width required for installation of proposed force main as shown in the drawings will be incidental to the unit price for the force main installation. Contractor shall bid accordingly. F. Extra Unit Price Item for Additional Pavement Repairs and Restorations (All Depths) will be used to repair and restore additional concrete pavement panels indirectly damaged by the force main construction activities, upon review and approval by City Project Manager. G. Contractor shall review provided geotechnical and environmental information for conditions related to potential difficulties in performance of the Work. Scope 60% Submittal - Not for Bid
