The City of Kelowna is seeking an experienced and certified elevating device contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance for 13 elevators, with services anticipated to start February 1, 2025. The scope of work includes monthly preventative maintenance, 24/7 emergency repairs with a two-hour response time, and compliance with BC Safety Authority directives. Contractors will supply all labour, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements, ensuring safe, reliable operation. They will also monitor emergency phones, conduct periodic tests as required (annual, three-year, and five-year) of elevator systems, and provide recommendations for upgrades or additional work to improve performance or reduce costs.
