Project Duration 45 Working Days After NTP Question Deadline 11/22/2024 at 10:00 AM PT Online Q&A Yes The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for said project: The main FPVMD building is in need of roof replacement and repairs (consistent with Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, known as the California Building Standards Code) in multiple phases as follows: o Removal, disposal, and abatement of hazardous material of the existing roofing material and exposed ductwork on the roof. o The existing roof may have multiple layers of old roofing. Proposals should include the removal of all layers of existing roofing to expose roof deck sheathing for inspection to meet the current adopted building codes removal of. The completion of this project requires a guarantee of a no leak roof. o Once all roofing material is removed, a licensed structural engineer must determine whether any structural/seismic upgrades will be required, including replacement of any roof sheathing and any structural framing members. Structural material replacement shall be included as an extra charge if inspection reveals damages. o Hazardous Material Abatement to include but not be limited to Asbestos Removal and Lead Based Paint removal or encapsulation, per Ventura County Air Pollution Control District Standards, and disposal. o Existing HVAC units to be removed and stored safely and reinstalled upon completion of the new roof. All existing HVAC roof curbs shall be a minimum of 8 inches above the finished roof surface, modify and/or replace as required. The reconnection of the equipment to the roof framing to be detailed by a licensed engineer. o Removal, disposal, and abatement of hazardous material of all exposed ductwork and insulation around ducts. o Portions of exposed ductwork may be unsound. Proposals should include an estimate to replace ductwork, as necessary. Contractor to survey the site to verify replacement quantities and include in the based bid. o Installation of a new TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) single-ply white roofing membrane. o The new roofing materials shall have the ICC listed number and it must meet the criteria of Class A fire retardant material. o Installation shall be to manufacturer's specifications/recommendations (roof and underlayment) and include a minimum 20-year Warranty on all materials and minimum 10-year warranty on all labor. Contractor to demonstrate a verifiable track record and experience with specified materials. Should the manufacturers installation instructions require manufacturer certified installers, compliance is mandatory. The installation must meet the requirements of the ICC evaluation report. o New installation will include all new flashing, boots, hubs, drains, trim caps and any other items encountered that ensure a leak proof roof. Any exposed flashing or cap shall have color similar to station paint scheme. o Reinstall all HVAC units and existing or new insulated ductwork as needed. All connections, flashing and details to be installed per manufacturer's specifications. o Removal and disposal of all interior ceiling tiles. o Installation of new ceiling tiles. o Clean up and remove all debris from site when completed. o Update all restrooms and the building interior to current ADA standards, as necessary. o Update the exterior path of travel to ADA standards, ADA parking and signage to be included. Complete plans and details of upgrading work shall be designed and stamped signed by a licensed architect or engineer. The plan check and permit process with the City of Fillmore building department is required. o Plan check and permit fees shall be paid for by the contractor.
