The Stokes Soil & Water Conservation District is currently seeking contractors to prequalify for maintenance work on the 24 (PL-566) watershed/pond structures in Stokes County. Work will include bush-hogging/weed eating of dams, embankments, spillways, borrow areas as well as general maintenance such as clearing drain pipes of sediment and obstructions, and ensuring the primary spillway and riser are functioning properly. Additional work will include the removal ofdebris/brush from dams, emergency spillway, and top of risers and maintenance of plunge pool areas. Only contractors deemed qualified by the Stokes Soil & Water Conservation District will be invited to submit a bid.
