Phase 1 - Scope of Work: Rehabilitation of approximately 22,900 Linear Feet of Sanitary Sewer and three (3) lift stations to include the following: Rehabilitation of approximately 22,900 Linear Feet of Sanitary Sewer and three (3) lift stations to include the following: o Pre and Post Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Cleaning and Inspections o 16,500 LF - 8" Gravity Sewer Pipe - Rehabilitated by CIPP Liner o 6,400 LF - 4" Service Laterals - Rehabilitated by CIPP Liner o Manhole Repair and Rehabilitation o Point Repair at Various Depths o Installation of new submersible pumps and associated controls o Lining of existing wet wells o Installation of new control valve vaults o Installation of chain-link perimeter fencing Phase 2 - Scope of Work - Rehabilitation of approximately 14,000 Linear Feet of Sanitary Sewer and three (3) lift stations to include the following o Pre and Post Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Cleaning and Inspections o 11,500 LF - 8" Gravity Sewer Pipe - Rehabilitated by CIPP Liner o 2,500 LF - 4" Service Laterals - Rehabilitated by CIPP Liner o Manhole Repair and Rehabilitation o Point Repair at Various Depths o Installation of new submersible pumps and associated controls o Lining of existing wet wells o Installation of new control valve vaults o Installation of chain-link perimeter fencing The Owner requires the Project to be completed in 540 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. The Contractor will be allowed to choose a start date to commence no later than May 1, 2025. Details regarding the Notice to Proceed timing and material procurement flexibility are included in the Bid Documents. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama State Parks in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Bids submitted prior to the bid opening may be mailed or delivered in person to the office of State Parks at the address stated below. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder. All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All Contractors preparing Bids for the referenced project shall submit a list of similar projects (successfully completed) in the last two years, having the same scope of work with construction cost similar to or greater than this project. All nonresident contractors preparing bids shall submit with the bid documents evidence of a current Alabama General Contractor's License, evidence (with original seal of the State of Alabama) of proper registration with the Alabama Secretary of State as a foreign corporation, and a Certificate of Good Standing as a Foreign Corporation from the State of Alabama Department of Revenue. Bids submitted by a non-resident contractor without these documents included will be rejected. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract. This project is being funded by local funds. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
