Site work for a water / sewer project in Henry, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The construction of approximately 869 feet of 8" water main along the along William Street, 637 feet connecting Williams Street to Richard Street, 1242 feet along Richard Street, and 676 feet along Lincoln Street, including 7 connections to intersecting water mains, 6 fire hydrant assemblies, and approximately 91 feet of 6" water main (for the fire hydrant assemblies), and approximately 20 water services. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Giffin Reeise Engineering, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The City of Henry reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Henry for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
