The scope of work for Contract No. 24-51 includes cleaning, television inspection, and preparation of pertinent inspection reports for approximately 4,300 linear feet of 8" diameter sanitary sewer, 22,800 linear feet of 10" diameter sanitary sewer, 8,600 linear feet of 12" diameter sanitary sewer, 6,200 linear feet of 15" diameter sanitary sewer, 3,200 linear feet of 18" diameter sanitary sewer, 100 linear feet of 20" diameter sanitary sewer, 3,800 linear feet of 24" diameter sanitary sewer, 400 linear feet of 30" diameter sanitary sewer, 2,800 linear feet of 36" diameter sanitary sewer, and 1,300 linear feet of 48" diameter sanitary sewer. The objective and intent of this work is to identify existing pipeline conditions, suitability for rehabilitation and methods of rehabilitation. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sharpsburg to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The Borough shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Borough may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Borough has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.
