3.1 The Scope of Work for this project is to rehabilitate Bruce A Buried Firewater (FW) piping with Cure in Place Pipe (CIPP) lining method. The FW piping is considered gray cast iron conservatively consisting of 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" & 14" piping with 12" & 14" in majority. The piping is buried 8' 22' deep with multiple 22.50, 450 & 900 bends, Tees, and other pipe components. The fittings which CIPP cannot traverse through will be removed as access points and will be replaced with HDPE. 3.2 The entire piping is about 8000 ft in length is subdivided into groups using the isolation envelopes on the main header. Marked up flowsheet will be provided along with Design documentation as set out in the Construction Managed Task Scope of Work which is attached with this file, describing isolation boundaries. The Flowsheet and Design Documentation will be provided to Proponent upon return of Intent to Bid and signing of Non-Disclosure Agreement, through access to Firmex Document Sharing Site as set out in 1.3 above. 3.3 The Proponent's response required to be in compliance with the CSA N293-12 (R2017) and NFPA 24-2016 standard. Additionally, proponent shall meet the requirements of ASME B31.1-2007 (as much as possible with BP concurrence). The proponent shall consider the execution as set out in the attached Construction Managed Task Scope of Work for their response. 3.4 Bruce Power's overall purpose of this RFI is seeking vendors who can support the design of CIPP application and obtain the required regulatory approvals (TSSA & CNSC) and in addition demonstrate the ability to execute the design as per Bruce Power timelines. 3.5 Bruce Power is seeking a Class 5 estimate in this definition phase.
