Renovation of a municipal facility in Middletown, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Wallkill ("Town") hereby Requests proposals by interested vendors for a Repair or Replacement of the Covered Porch at the Town owned building located at 74 Van Burenville Road. PREVAILING WAGE RATES - Prevailing wage rates for Orange County, New York, as published by the New York State Department of Labor ("NYSDOL"), shall apply to all workers assigned to this project. A certified payroll shall be submitted by the winning bidder with the final invoice on the official forms issued by NYSDOL. The Town of Wallkill owns the house located at 74 Van Burenville Road, SBL 36-1- 4.1. The covered porch was built in 1840 and has fallen into disrepair. The Town would like to repair the porch if possible but understands that it may need to be replaced entirely if not found structurally sound. The vendor will be responsible for repairing or replacing the Covered Porch at #74 Van Burenville Road. For ease of description, we have broken the porch in to three (3) sections, please see Attachment A for photographs: Section #110 feet wide by 40 feet long Section #210 feet wide by 10 feet long Section #310 feet wide by 30 feet long All sections of the porch are covered and need to remain so. If a replacement is necessary, the Town would like to keep the style of the porch as close to the current style as possible. As of the issuance date of this Request for Proposals (RFP) and continuing until 48 hours prior to the time for submitting proposals has expired, the Town will provide relevant information as necessary for all Vendors to familiarize themselves with the requirements set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP). Question Deadline 11/18/2024 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in a proposal when to do so would be to the advantage of the Town or its taxpayers. Proposals that contain conditions or limitations to the requirements set forth in the RFP may be considered non- responsive and rejected.
