Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a military facility in Petawawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 250,750-square-foot, two-story above grade military facility; and for site work for a military facility.

CSOTCs establishment was approved as part of the CANSOFCOM Omnibus project on 28 April 2006. Its initial operating capability was first achieved in 2011. Its full operating capability cannot be achieved until this project is delivered and CSOTC is provided with suitable facilities. To provide the appropriate training for CANSOFCOM members, approximately 23,000 m2 of new construction is required and the existing facility, building CC-125 constructed in 2009 (4709 m2), must be renovated to accommodate a larger kitchen, optimize building performance and to reduce GHG emissions. Current facilities comprise approximately 7,000 m2 of permanent and temporary facilities equating to approximately 25% of required infrastructure to fulfill its mandate. To facilitate the requirements to support, operate, and accommodate all CSOTC requirements the total infrastructure net spatial is estimated at 23,218 m2.
