Debris Removal Telfair County was impacted by Hurricane Helene on September 29, 2024. In order to recover from this disaster and to respond to disaster events in the future, the Telfair County Board of Commissioners (hereinafter "County") seeks to establish a contract with a disaster debris contractor (hereinafter "Contractor") via this Request for Proposals for disaster debris removal and disposal services in Telfair County and all Telfair County jurisdictions, with the exception of the city of McRae-Helena, resulting in immediate work with all entities either as separate contracts or as one contract through intergovernmental agreement. The County reserves the right to request additional services relating to this RFP from the Proposer. When approved by the County as an amendment to the contract and authorized in writing prior to work, the selected contractor shall provide such additional requirements as may become necessary. Proposals should contain enough information for the County to make an evaluation; however, overly complex or excessive proposals will be a burden to the proposal scoring committee and should be avoided.
