Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of January 23, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 24, 2025. The project includes grading, pavements, drainage, site clearing and selective demolition of anew park in Warren County,Vicksburg, MS as indicated in the drawings, specifications,and other contract documents.The above general outline of features of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all parts, labor,equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The contract time for the work included in this contract is Two Hundred Seventy (270) Calendar Days. The Contract will be subject to liquidated damages of three hundred fifty dollars($350) per calendar day foreach day in default after the stipulated completion date. The contract time will begin on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. For any questions relating to the electronic bidding process, please call Online at 225-810- 4814. Each bidder must deposit withies proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the totalbid payable to Warren County's bid security. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount awarded. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement if requested by WarrenCounty. Attorneys-in-fact whosign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. The Warren County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to determine responsible bidders, responsive bids, the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, award to the bidder believed most advantageous to Warren County, and to waive any informalities in the bids and bidding process. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, appurtenances and all services necessary to perform all Work required, at the lump sum or unit prices for the items listed herein. The items listed below beginning with Article 1.04, refer to and are the same pay items listed in the Unit Price Bid Table. These items constitute all ofthe pay items for the completion ofthe Contract. No direct or separate payment will be made for providing miscellaneous, temporary, or accessory works, plant, services, CONTRACTOR'S or ENGINEER'S field offices, layoutsurveys,job signs, sanitary requirements, testing, safety devices, approval and record drawings, water supplies, power, removal of waste, watchmen, bonds, insurance, taxes, and all other requirements ofthe Contract Documents. Compensation for all such services, things and materials shall be included in the prices stipulated for the lump sum and unit pay items listed herein. The Contractorshall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform all excavation, backfill, grading, and wall protection required to complete the structure and piping work shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to excavation, filling and grading under and around precast and cast in place structuresto attain the subgrades and grades indicated on the Drawings, trenching operations to install pipe, manholes, vaults, electrical duct conduit, pump station wet wells and valve pits, and otherstructures, including all backfilling, grading, disposal ofsurplus and unsuitable materials, and all related work such as sheeting, bracing and water handling. The selected turf system shall meet the following minimum requirements: A. Prior to order of materials, the Synthetic Turf Contractor shall submit the following: 1. Product and Material data, including Independent Test Lab Results, 2. Installation details, 3. Sample Warranty, 4. Field layout and striping plans, 5. Details of construction, especially any details that may deviate from plans and specifications B. Prior to the beginning ofinstallation, the Manufacturer/Installer ofthe synthetic turf shall inspect the base and supply a Certificate ofBase Acceptance for the purpose ofobtaining Manufacturer's warranty for the finished synthetic playing surface. C. Prior to Final Acceptance, the Contractor shall submit to the Owner three (3) copies of Executed Warranty Documents and Maintenance Manuals, which will include necessary instructions for the proper care and preventative maintenance ofthe synthetic turfsystem, including, but not limited to, painting and cleaning.
