The project will also remove traffic signals and driveways at Ford's existing No. 2 and No. 3 driveways. Pavement marking work is also included in the project. The estimated cost of construction is $445,000. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity which does not affect the competitive nature of the bidding process or to reject any or all bids. Contract will be awarded based on the lowest and best bid. The Village of Sheffield may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of reason. The failure to make such disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the Village of Sheffield. Each bid must be accompanied by either an Ohio Revised Code Section 153.571. Bid and Performance Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid; or, a cashier's check, bid bond, letter of credit to be duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon, a surety company approved by the Owner in the amount of 10% of the bid. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
