WR Project Number 02211441.01 The project area is generallybound by Miller Ave., N Long St.(SR-2100), Interstate 85 (I-85),and Heiligtown Rd. in RowanCounty, East Spencer North Carolina. The Project consists of the rehabilitation and/or replacement ofapproximately 34,500 LF of sewermains, along with the rehabilitation of 188 manholes. The projectalso includes a new 120 gpm liftstation (Moore St Pump Station),919 LF of sewer force main andthe abandonment of an existinglift station (Royal Giants). Approximately 1,270 LF of new gravitysewer will be added for the redirection of sewer previously routedunder buildings at a local brickmanufacturing facility. Approximately 1,335 LF of new gravitysewer will be added for the redirection of sewer previously routedto the Royal Giants Lift Station,which is to be abandoned. Approximately 3,700LF of proposedimprovements and 37 manholesproposed for rehabilitation that willimpact NCDOT streets (SR-2100and SR-1915). Interested parties areencouraged to attend this conference to review the plans, ask foradditional information or clarification, and to visit the project site.Attendance at the Pre-Bid-Conference is highly encouraged but isnot mandatory. All bids mustbe accompanied by a certified orcashier's check or bid bond in theamount of 5% of the total amountbid made payable to the Owner.The bid eposit shall be retainedby the Owner if the successfulbidder fails to execute contractsor fails to provide the requiredbonds, as stated above, within ten(10) days after the proper notice ofaward of the contract.
