Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Joliet Township High School District 204 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
