Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Roseville, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of November 12, 2024, the bond was approved. The city will move forward with design and engineering work in 2025. Construction would likely begin in the fall of 2025, and the new Maintenance Operations Center is estimated to be complete by the summer of 2029. Per owner, design team has not been selected yet, an RFP will be released in early January 2025 for these services. On the Nov. 5, 2024, ballot is a half-cent sales tax that would raise $76.9 million over 20 years for the project. The new Operations Facility would serve as a more efficient, centralized hub for the essential city services that are supported by the current building, including water distribution systems, road work, snow removal, and maintenance of the city’s 32 parks. The new Public Works and Parks Operations Facility will be located at the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and Woodhill Drive, where the VFW, Veteran’s Park, and Lexington Shoppes are currently situated.
