Locate a singular or combination of sites to accommodate the construction of a Public Safety Training Facility. The Public Safety Training Facility will need a Driving Track, Fire Station, both Class A and Class B Burn Buildings, a simulations house, a large gym with full locker room facilities, an outdoor training space with a standard 400-meter running track, a vehicle and equipment storage and maintenance area, a K-9 training area, office buildings with space for command training, classrooms, and auditoriums. It is anticipated that a threat analysis at the beginning of the design process will stipulate the specific force protection measures required. A firing range and dispatch center are not required within the scope of this design. The Design Concept Report will include a comprehensive inventory and needs analysis of including staff, training, and assets as well as site development and a phasing strategy. A Design Concept Report will be required prior to design and any necessary construction needs not identified within the DCR will be excluded from the scope of this project. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
