Reference Number 0000368103 Delivery Point Allen Park The Allen Park DDA is looking to do Improvements within its District. Landscape/Streetscape The DDA is seeking a qualified contractor to provide annual maintenance, upgrades, and to perform new streetscape/landscaping projects within the DDA District. As part of preparing this RFP, the DDA completed an initial tree and landscape bed evaluation in June 2024 to identify existing problem areas and desired near-term improvements. This RFP is based on the result of that effort, and consists of three (3) primary objectives: 1) Year 1 Tree Replacements and Bed Infill Plantings - Start in 2025 Replace twenty-four (24) trees identified as "dead" or "poor condition" and restore approximately 23,400 square feet of landscape beds and swales that infill and/or replacement plants. The contractor may recommend additional tree and landscape plant replacements and maintenance tasks for the DDA's consideration. 2) Annual Maintenance - Start in 2025 On an annual basis, provide recommendations to ensure continued health and vigor of all landscape material, source and install replacement plantings, and prepare, water, and maintain the appearance of the DDA's landscaped areas. 3) Install Hanging Baskets - Desired start in 2025 On an annual basis, purchase or grow hanging flower baskets at an off-site location and install them on 196 streetlight posts on Allen Road, Ecorse Road, and Park Avenue, water as required, and remove and store or dispose of all hanging baskets during the Fall/Winter. The DDA desires this task to begin in 2025 but will consider proposals to provide this service at a later date.
