Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Edgewater, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a 45,763-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Description of the Work: This is a Design/Build LEED Silver project that includes the creation of new environmental, recreational, and community amenities at the existing 3130 Solomons Island Road site in Edgewater, MD 21037 (formerly Giant Food). Plans include a gymnasium, multi-purpose courts, community meeting rooms, dance and fitness studios, an indoor playground, and other flexible spaces that support health, wellness, and engagement. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, site work, paving, masonry, structural steel, millwork, metal roof and wall panels, steel doors and frames, metal-framed storefronts, glazing, gypsum board, tile, flooring, paints, toilet compartments, flagpoles, signage, lockers, operable partitions, wet-pipe sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
