Questions Due Date: Nov 18th 2024, 2:00 PM MST Online Portal Issuing Procurement Unit: State of Utah Division of Purchasing Conducting Procurement Unit:Division of Oil, Gas and Mining. The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide: the WORK consists of 23 mine closures and revegetation of disturbed areas at abandoned metal mines in Beaver County, Utah. It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. The methodology or formula that will be used to determine the number of contract awards is: lowest overall cost that meets all requirement and specifications. Vendor must guarantee its pricing for the completion of the project. Engineers Project Cost Estimate: $220,000.00 Length of Contract: The WORK under this CONTRACT shall be commenced upon notice to proceed and shall be completed within 35 calendar days after the date of email delivery, date of hand delivery, or date marked on registered mail receipt of said Notice to Proceed and no later than January 17, 2025. WORK delays caused by weather may, at the discretion of the OWNER, extend the completion date. CONTRACTOR also agrees to the liquidated damages provisions of Article 12. Mining services including shaft mining and open pit mining 72140 Construction services including sewer maintenance and repair, roads and highways and excavation and backfill services, levee and dam construction and digging, ditching, road grading, rock stabilization, equipment rental or lease, and energy conservation This meeting is mandatory. Attendance is required to bid. Abandoned mine closure work is different from standard residential or commercial construction. It requires specialized work in unusual conditions and unique circumstances. Because of the special nature of abandoned mine closure work, bidders are required to attend one of the pre-bid meetings. Bids from firms not on record as attending the entire meeting will be considered nonresponsive. Bidders should supplement the prebid meeting by examining the project on their own time.
