Student Support Services Center This bid is open only to bidders who have been prequalified under RFP 493 (Small Projects) for this work. Salem-Keizer School District promotes the utilization of minority-owned, women-owned and emerging small businesses (MWESB) as contractors and sub-contractors to promote inclusion and a sustained, vibrant local economy. The District encourages MWESB firms to become State certified and for Prime Contractors to utilize MWESB subcontractors. Salem-Keizer School District will not tolerate racism, discrimination, harassment, prejudice, or hatred in any form, subtle or obvious. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor shall fully comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination. Check the box to confirm you will comply. Notice to Proceed: Notice will be issued for work to begin on or about , JANUARY 2, 2025 or as otherwise negotiated with District. Substantial Completion: MARCH 28, 2025. Final Completion: APRIL 25, 2025. The undersigned agrees to complete all Work under this Contract within the dates specified in the milestone or specific date schedule, as set forth in the Owner Contractor Agreement and the Supplementary Conditions Section, if included. Question Deadline 12/02/2024 Substitution requests will only be accepted from parties who are eligible to submit a responsive bid for this project. Substitution request deadline is online. All request must be sent to the the buyer for this project via email to be considered. Bidders shall attach a copy of a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. Failure to submit such security shall result in the Bid being considered non-responsive. The undersigned further agrees to execute the formal Contract within ten (10) days from date of Notice of Acceptance of this bid, and in case the undersigned fails or neglects to appear within the specified time to execute the Contract, and the undersigned is considered having abandoned the Contract by the Owner, the Bid Bond accompanying this bid will be forfeited to the Owner by reason of such failure on the part of the undersigned. The undersigned further agrees that the bid security may be retained by the Owner and that said proposal guaranty shall remain with the Owner until the Contract has been signed and Performance Bond in a form acceptable to the Owner has been made and delivered to the Owner. All requests for clarification, change, solicitation protests must be submitted in writing not less than 10 days prior to the date scheduled for bid closing. Submit written requests and documentations to the buyer at the email shown on the events details tab. Attach your bid security under response attachments. Be aware there is a 25MB size limit per file. If your document is larger than this, try rescanning at a lower resolution, or scan pages individually to stay below this size limit. Pre-Bid meeting notes All Proposers wishing to submit an Offer must attend. Sign-in will begin 15 minutes prior to start of meeting. To sign-in, Proposers must enter a screen name including first name, last name and business name after joining the virtual meeting. Proposers must be signed in by no later than 10 minutes after meeting start time. Any Proposers not signing in by that time will be deemed late and not eligible to submit an Offer. The District reserves the right to consider unusual or extenuating circumstances. It is recommended Proposers visit the Microsoft website below and well in advance of the meeting to avoid potential delays in joining the meeting. In submitting this bid, it is understood that the right is reserved by Owner to reject any or all bids and waive all informalities in connection therewith. It is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from time of opening. The undersigned hereby acknowledges that they have read and understand the Drawings, Specifications, Addenda, and all other Contract Documents pertaining to this Project. The undersigned certifies that the Contract Documents are, in their opinion, adequate, feasible and complete for performing the Work and constructing the Work in a sound and suitable manner for the use specified and intended by the Contract Documents. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor shall fully comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination. Check the box to confirm you will comply. The bidder certifies that it does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, financial ability, age or other non-job related factors as per ORS 659A and U.S. Code 42 2000e. Liquidated Damages Liquidated Damages: Owner and Contractor recognize that time is of the essence for this Agreement and that Owner will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the times specified in the schedule, plus any extensions allowed by Owner. Owner and Contractor also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving the actual loss suffered by Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as penalty) Contractor shall pay Owner ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) for each day that expires after the time specified in the schedule, until the Work is complete. The undersigned further certifies that they have, or has available, the equipment, personnel, materials, facilities and technical and financial ability necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and within the time specified therein. The Bidder certifies that they have made allowances for normal inclement weather indigenous to the Project site. A. Work Included: 1. Coordinate work of trades and schedule elements of alterations and renovation work by procedures and methods to expedite completion of work. 2. In addition to demolition specified and that specifically shown, cut, move or remove items as necessary to provide access or to allow alterations and new work to proceed. 3. Include such items as: a. Repair or removal of hazardous or unsanitary conditions. b. Removal of abandoned items and items serving no useful purpose, such as abandoned piping, conduit and wiring. c. Removal of unsuitable or extraneous materials noted for salvage, such as abandoned furnishings and equipment, and debris such as rotted wood, rusted metals and deteriorated concrete. d. Cleaning of surfaces, and removal of finished surfaces as needed to install new work and finishes. 4. Patch, repair and refinish existing 'items to remain' to the specified condition for each material, with craftsman like transition to adjacent new items of construction
