Fairfield County School District (FCSD) is seeking bids for lawn maintenance services. Services include maintaining grassed areas, maintaining flower beds, pruning trees, trimming shrubs, edging, maintaining cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, playgrounds, retention ponds, drainage ditches, and other related common areas. All work shall be performed by contractor awarded the contract. Subcontracting any portion of the contract requires pre-approval by the District. Any addendum(s) will be posted electronically. Notice of Award and/or Intent to Award may be posted electronically January 6, 2025. Question Deadline 12/05/2024 Any prospective Offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc. must request it in writing. Questions regarding the original solicitation or any amendment must be received by the Procurement Officer no later than five (5) days prior to the opening. Label any communication regarding your questions with the name of the Procurement Officer and the solicitation's title and number. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any guidelines set forth if deemed to be beneficial to the District. Term of Contract/Option to Renew: Any contract resulting from this RFP shall have an initial contract period of one (1) year beginning establish date. The District, at its discretion, may extend the contract for four (4) additional periods of one (1) year each, with an option of an additional two (2) periods of one (1) year each with Superintendent's approval. Contracts exceeding seven (7) years must be approved by the school board. Renewal on the part of the District will be based upon satisfactory contractor performance. Should either party wish not to renew the contract at the end of a contract period, notification shall be submitted in writing to the other party no less then ninety (90) calendar days prior to the contract renewal date.
