Associated work may also include temporary traffic control, erosion control, clearing & grubbing, earthwork, concrete work, paving, drainage, guide rail, guardrail, sodding, ITS, signing, pavement markings, lighting, ADA improvements, and other miscellaneous roadway improvement work as shown in the Plans for each work order. This Contract will last for a period of five years and any work order issued shall be concluded within the terms of this Contract. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to compete the work in accordance with the work plan, specifications, procedures, and terms of the Contract. The Department will not specify crew size, work methods, or equipment to provide that the desired work quality is achieved, as evaluated by the Engineer. The Work Order Contract Time to Complete the Work for the Various Types of Work Are Listed Below: Type of Work - Work Time (Calendar Days) Roadway Widening 90 Markings 10 Signing 20 Signalization 90 Each Subsequent Signal Location 15 Per Each Location. The Summary of Pay Items for Each Work Order is Listed in the Plans. Expenditure of Available Funds The Budgetary Ceiling for This Contract Shall Be $5,000,000 and Shall Be Awarded With an Initial Encumbrance of $0. The Department Will Authorize Services Based on Need and Availability of Budget. The Scope of Work May Be Adjusted in Order That Available Funds Are Expended. Execution of the Contract Does Not Guarantee That the Work Will Be Authorized. Pre-qualification is Required to Bid on This Project. Question Deadline 12/05/2024 at 5:00 PM Questions posted to this site will be responded to by the Department. For questions posted after this time, an answer cannot be assured. For all questions posted before the deadline, FDOT will provide and post responses on online. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
