Main Library Third Floor (Music, Arts, Literature and Old Fine Arts). 2. Main Library First Floor (Galleria and the four areas of Popular Library). 3. The combined cost for both first and third floors. *The Detroit Public Library reserves the right to: o Reject any and all bids received as a result of thisIFB. o Waive or decline to waive any informalities and any irregularities in any bid received. Scope of Work Furnish 1 skim coat to concrete floor Furnish Rubber tile cleaning and sealing after installation Product or Equal: Floor tile must be rubber with natural fillers and environmentally safe with compatible color pigments. Rubber floor tiles size is 100 cm by 100 cm (39.37 inches by 39.37 inches. Back oftile must be smooth, double-sanded. Examination conditions ofspace to receive tile: Preparation: Comply with ASTM F 710 and manufacturer's recommendation for surface preparation. Remove all substances incompatible with manufacturer's resilient flooring adhesive by method acceptable to Page 6 of 14 DETROIT P U B L I C LIBRARY The Owner will ensure the building is void of all furnishings where Rubber floor tiles are to be installed. Work hours will be Monday - Friday eight (8) hour per day with a starting time to be determined. Floor must be prep (floated to be level and smooth) Provided the manufacturer's standard one-year warranty against defects in manufacturing and workmanship for resilient flooring. The Contractor shall visit the site with the Owner and fully examine the existing conditions and verify that the spaces to receive resilient flooring are suitable for installation (Comply with manufacturer's recommendations). Submit manufacturer's product data, installation instructions and, maintenance recommendations for resilient flooring by PRF ACTIVA RUBBER FLOORING or approval equal. Style and tile design will be provided at the walk through. Overall tile thickness is 3.5mm (0.14 inches). Rubber content is approximately 38/% (SBR) Styrene Butadiene Rubber. (Color to be determined) Provided the manufacturer's standard limited warranty/conductivity as specified (10-year Limited Wear Warranty). Rubber floor tiles are to be installed in the main library area and the multi-purpose room. With matching color cold base molding around perimeters. The Contractor will provide all labor, supervision, material and equipment. Office: The work involves the removal and disposal ofthe old floor tiles equals out to be approximately 182 sf. The vendor is responsible for confirming area measurements. Music Art Literature (MA): The work involves the removal and disposal of the old carpet in the main area and multi-purpose room. The main area and the multi-purpose room equals out to be approximately 4,500 sf. The vendor is responsible for confirming area measurements. Fine Art: The work involves the removal and disposal of the old floor tiles in Fine Arts equals out to be approximately 2,900 sf. The vendor is responsible for confirming area measurements
