World War II Memorial Restoration. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Location and Work to be Done The Work consists of the following; Replace the main memorial monument with same size, material and finish as existing. Utilizing, appropriate best practice, manufacturing, and industry standard installation requirements for the entire refurbishing and or replacement of all project items. This includes appropriate measurements, structure depth, type of materials, and any ancillary requirements appropriate for this project. All names will be engraved and painted using Lithochrome liquid vs the existing painted with aerosol cans. Monument to be disassembled; base, columns and cap to be cleaned and repainted and then reassembled with new central monument. A proof will be provided to the town for approval. Removal of any and all materials not associated to completion of project. Specifically the cleanup of work site and proper disposal of materials therein. Company must guarantee the integrity of the structure, painting and etching of names, for a period of at least 10 years. Any cracks, damage, or deficiency must be addressed, fixed and repaired, at no cost to the town, for a period of 10 years. Damage associated to non-natural break down, such as a malicious act, accident, or catastrophic event such as an earth quake, is excluded from this requirement. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents.
