Tractor and Small Animal Barn Buildings The Seward County Ag Society is seeking proposals for the design/ engineering of two buildings at the Seward County Fairgrounds. Building 1 - Tractor Barn General Description - This building needs to be built within the footprint and dimensions of the existing building. The existing tractor barn has an estimated dimension of approximately 32 feet; 4 inches wide by 96 feet; 4 inches long. Bidding firm responsible for taking their own measurements on existing building footprint. The new building needs to sit on a 4' concrete stem wall for flood protection with a total sidewall height of 16'. This building shall be a conventional gable style barn with the dimensions as described above. Construction shall be wood (steel) frame with metal wall and roof panels. Color shall be white. Doors - The building shall include two 12' high by 16' wide overhead doors and two standard walk doors, one each at the north and south ends of the building. Windows -- As needed. Floor - Floor shall be a 6" concrete floor. Electrical - Include LED lighting and general receptacles throughout the building. Include electrical provisions for ceiling fans appropriately spaced throughout the building. Include exterior lighting at the north and south ends above the overhead doors. Mechanical (HVAC) - Provide two roof mounted exhaust fans. Mechanical (Plumbing) - None Building 2 - Small Animal Barn General Description - This building needs to be built within the footprint and dimensions of the existing building. The existing small animal barn has an estimated dimensions of approximately 60 feet; 6 inches wide by 80 feet; 8 inches long. Bidding firm responsible for taking their own measurements on existing building footprint. The new building needs to sit on a 4' concrete stem wall for flood protection. This building shall be a Monitor style barn with 12' sidewalls at the low roof sections. Provide loft storage above the center section of the building. This building shall be insulated, and construction shall be wood (steel) frame with metal wall and roof panels. Color shall be white. Doors - The building shall include two 12' high by 16' wide overhead doors and two standard walk doors, one each at the north and south ends of the building. Floor - Floor shall be a 6" concrete floor down the middle and 4" concrete floor at the outer low roof sections. Electrical - Include LED lighting and general receptacles throughout the building. Include electrical provisions for ceiling fans appropriately spaced throughout the building. Include exterior lighting at the north and south ends above the overhead doors. Mechanical (HVAC) - This building shall have an HVAC system for heating and cooling. Mechanical (Plumbing) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
