Demolition and site work for a residential development in Georgetown, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Georgetown County, SC is soliciting sealed bids for the demolition and removal of various home structures throughout Georgetown County as part of phase three (3) of the County's blight removal project. Georgetown County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bid process. Question Deadline 11/20/2024 at 10:30 AM ET BID SECURITY 1) Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond for an amount equal to five per-cent (5%) of the total base bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the required Contract will be executed within fifteen (15) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract. Bids not including such a bid bond will not be considered. Due to the current electronic nature of bidding, the County will no longer accept cashier's checks as a bid bond. 2) The successful offeror must provide a Performance Bond from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount, within fifteen (15) days the after receipt of written notice of formal award of the Contract. 3) The successful offeror must provide a Payment and Material Bond from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount, within fifteen (15) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract. 1. Contractor must have appropriate license for removal of asbestos and lead-based paint materials. 2. Contractor shall clear the project area, demolish home and marked structures, remove and properly dispose of all materials, and grade the project area which may require a couple truck loads of fill dirt and grass seed straw. Contractor shall bid accordingly. Clearing will include shrub and smaller (estimated 2" diameter) trees. Upon site inspection, any large trees that the Contractor sees as a possible interference to the project shall be brought to the attention of the County for review and approval before removal. All clearing shall be included as part of the provided bid price. 3. Demolition shall be performed in such a way as to not damage nearby facilities. The Contractor will be responsible for the disposal of all materials and any fees, including but not limited to the County's landfill tipping fees, and any and all transportation costs associated with the disposal. 4. The construction schedule shall be coordinated with and approved by the County's Designated Project Manager. The Contractor must provide the County's Designated Project Manager with at least 72 hrs. advanced notification of Work so that the County's Planning Department can notify the property owner accordingly. 5. Change orders will not be allowed for this project unless it is a deductive change order. 6. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of the general public, County personnel, their employees, and any of their sub-contractors. The Contractor will be solely liable for any damages that may result from the Contractor's performance or lack of performance. 7. Upon completion of each project as designated on the approved project schedule, the County's Designated Project Manager will inspect the Work. Any punch list items shall be notated and corrected by the Contractor immediately.
