Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Redding, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 16,800-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
California Community College District, through its Board of Trustees ("the District") will accept Bid Proposals for the Contract for APPARATUS BUILDING ("the Work"). 1. Submittal of Bid Proposals. All Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the District at or prior to the date and time set forth above. 2. Bid and Contract Documents. Bidders must obtain Bid and Contract Documents from the District by contacting the District as noted above. The District will maintain a Bidders List for the Project. The Bidders who request the Bid and Contract Documents by contacting the District will be noted on the Bidders List; the Bid Proposal of a Bidder who is not on the Bidders List will be rejected for non-responsiveness. The District will provide prospective Bidders with electronic files of the Bid and Contract Documents without charge. The District will provide paper files of the Bid and Contract Documents by specific request of a Bidder and the Bidder's payment of reproduction costs. 4. Prevailing Wage Rates. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall pay not less than the applicable prevailing wage rate for the classification(s) of labor provided by their respective workers; prevailing wage rates are available for review at online. During the Work, the Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") will monitor compliance with prevailing wage rate requirements and enforce the Contractor's prevailing wage rate obligations. 6. Contractors' License Classification. The District requires that Bidders possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time that the Contract for the Work is awarded: B - General Building. 7. Contract Time. Substantial Completion of the Work shall be achieved as set forth in the Contract Documents; Liquidated Damages will be assessed for delayed Substantial Completion. 8. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). A Bid Proposal not accompanied by the required Bid Security is non-responsive and will be rejected by the District. 10. No Withdrawal of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. 11. Job Walk. No job walk will be held. 12. Pre-Bid Inquiries. Question Deadline 11/18/2024 at 2:00 PM PT Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests no later than 2:00 PM FOUR (4) Days before the latest date for submittal of Bid Proposals. Pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests shall be submitted to: Bryon Kunz of NMR Architects & Engineers via email at kunz@nmrdesign.com. 13. Copies of Agreement and Bonds. The number of required executed copies of the Agreement is ONE (1). The number of required executed copies of the Performance Bond and the Labor & Materials Payment is ONE (1). 14. Award of Contract; Waiver of Irregularities. The Contract, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. If Alternate Bid Items are included in the bidding, the lowest priced Bid Proposal will be determined on the basis of the Base Bid Proposal or on the Base Bid Proposal and the combination of Alternate Bid Items selected in accordance with the above. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding.
