As of December 17, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. Project is expected to be awarded on the January's Council Meeting. Proposed Ground Storage Tank Replacement at 986 Main Street, Hackberry, LA 70645 Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 2, Cameron Parish, Louisiana Questions about this procedure shall be directed to the Designer at: K&M Project Services, LLC 1000 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA 70605 337-508-2868 mitch@kmprojectservices.com / matt@kmprojectservices.com All bids shall be accompanied by bid security (by way of cashier's check, made payable to the Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 2 or a bid bond) in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in in the Bid Documents for this project. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. When this project is financed either partially or entirely with State Bonds or financed in whole or in part by federal or other funds which are not readily available at the time bids are received, the award of this Contract is contingent upon the granting of lines of credit, or the sale of bonds by the Bond Commission or the availability of federal or other funds. The State shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract Between Owner and Contractor is fully executed. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the Engineer in the bidding documents. Official action will be taken at the regularly scheduled Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 2 board meeting. Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 2 reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals and to waive any informality. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Question Deadline 12/04/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or emailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven (7) working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The scope of this project consists of the demolition and disposal of an existing bolted steel ground storage tank and its foundation, the construction of a replacement bolted steel ground storage tank and concrete ring wall foundation (AWWA Type 1), and various modifications associated with the attached piping and appurtenances. The Contractor shall also be required to make modifications to the existing aboveground piping housed in the adjacent filtration building to create a bypass around the tank, re-attach electrical and pressure sensors connected to the existing SCADA system and controls, make any modifications to the existing influent and effluent piping, and other incidental construction tasks required to bring the proposed tank into service. The Contractor shall complete this work in accordance with the project drawings and specifications by whatever means and methods the Contractor deems necessary and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal codes, standards, and regulations. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating all work with Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 2 (CPWW2) personnel and for notifying customers affected by any required water shutoff a minimum of 48 hours (two working days) in advance. CPWW2 personnel shall operate existing valves on the water system and be notified a minimum of 48 hours (two working days) before any shutoff occurs. During the construction process, the Contractor must keep the adjacent roadway free of debris of any kind and disruption of through traffic is prohibited. The Contractor shall complete this project in such a manner as to avoid hazards to personnel and nearby property. Any damages to the project site, adjacent properties, etc. shall be restored to pre-project condition at no additional cost to the Owner. Any site staging area used by the contractor shall be returned to its original condition. These area(s) will be noted, photographed, and recorded before the commencement of work to ensure the area is returned to its original condition.
