Sealed bids are invited for the Campus Living Center Roof Replacement and Envelope Improvements project at the campus of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. This project will replace the existing slate roof system with a new stamped metal panel system. The soffit will be rebuilt, and the existing integrated gutters will be replaced with an external gutter system. The interior roof-wall seam and the crawlspace will be insulated. Per Section 3 Paragraph (a) of the CO-7A, the Time for Completion is 120 calendar days from the Contract Award and Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued January 1, 2025, with a Final Completion of May 1, 2025. Question Deadline 12/09/2024 Bidders must so act to assure that questions reach the A/E at least six (6) days prior to the time set for the receipt of bids to allow a sufficient time for an addendum to reach all bidders before the submission of their bids The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Removal of existing slate roof system including flashing down to existing precast deck for the entire sloped roof. Remove existing gutter, aluminum fascia and plaster soffit at entire perimeter of the building. Remove caulking at precast window headers 2. Install new rigid insulation under a new metal shingle slate line roof with new roof flashing. Install new aluminum fascia, aluminum gutter and down spouts. Install a new EIFS soffit. Add additional insulation on inside of building envelope. 3. Note the presence of asbestos containing materials in existing roof system and comply with Section 020800 and 028313 for removal procedure.
