Site work, new construction and renovation of a medical facility in Red Deer, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 600,000-square-foot, six-story above grade medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and for the renovation of a medical facility.
Work of this project comprises general construction of Red Deer Hospital Redevelopment located at Red Deer, Alberta. Work of this bid package includes primarily the demolition of the existing Ambulatory Annex building The project value listed reflects the total project estimate. 2.2.1 Web-Based Digital Operation and Maintenance Data Submittals: Construction Manager is responsible for data acquisition services having the ability to provide the following minimum operation and maintenance data requirements: 2.2.1.1 Service must provide documentation in sufficient detail to enable the Owner to take over any maintenance, operation or use of the Work in a safe, effective and efficient manner. 2.2.1.2 Service must allow for progressive and timely development of documentation and checking of the operation and maintenance data manuals in advance of Project milestones leading up to declaration of Substantial Completion for the Work of the Project. 2.2.1.3 Service must allow access by Consultant to record observed construction deficiencies, and Construction Manager to assign responsibilities for correction of identified deficiencies and record completion of corrections. 2.2.1.4 Service must provide standardized and fully digital data format suitable for upload to the Owner's Facility Management Information Exchange (FMie) System. 2.2.1.5 Service must provide complete financial reconciliation of project assets and work showing element and asset costs, predicted life expectancy costs and similar information. 2.2.2 Web-Based Deficiencies Management: Coordinate with Section 01 77 00 - Closeout Procedures for identification of construction deficiencies, and creation of completion and correction lists; deficiency management services must have the ability to provide the following minimum requirements: 2.2.2.1 Status of Subcontractor assigned to completion and correction activities 2.2.2.2 Status of in-progress corrections 2.2.2.3 Notification when corrections are ready-to-review 2.2.2.4 Status of denial of correction, or closed on acceptance of correction 2.2.2.5 Due dates and overdue notifications The Subcontractor shall perform and furnish all the work, labour, services, materials, plant, equipment, tools, scaffolds, appliances, and other things necessary (the "Work") for SDS (hereinafter called the "Project"), as shown and described in and in strict accordance with the plans, specifications, general conditions, special conditions, and addenda thereto prepared by SDS (hereinafter called the "Consultant") and with the terms and conditions of the Prime Contract between the Contractor and SDS (hereinafter called the "Owner") dated SDS (hereinafter called the "Prime Contract") and in strict accordance with this Subcontract, which includes without limitation the scope of Work and the Contract Documents (as described in Appendix A.1) for SDS annexed hereto and made a part hereof. If the Subcontractor is providing craft labour services, the following conditions shall be met prior to commencing the Work. .1 The Subcontractor shall provide fulltime, onsite competent supervision at all times when own forces labour or sub-subcontractors and sub tiers are on site. .2 All training certificates for workers must be provided a minimum of 7 days prior to arrival on site including but not limited to: - CB Safety Orientation Certificate - Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) - Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS latest version) - Additional specialized training such as Mobile Equipment Operation, Fall Protection, Swing Stage, Asbestos Abatement, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, required by the Work and to be confirmed with valid certificate(s). .3 Under no circumstances shall a labour service provider supply subcontracted workers without prior disclosure and acceptance from Clark Builders. .4 Should labour supply from a sub-subcontractor be approved by Clark Builders, the Subcontractor shall provide the sub-subcontractors full company name, current WCB Clearance Letter and all training requirements as noted above. .5 English is the language of communication on all Clark Builders worksites. For the safety and wellbeing of all workers, an onsite translator shall be required to be supplied by the Subcontractor, at no cost, in the event that a worker is unable to communicate effectively with CBGOC Supervisors/Employees in English. .6 Every worker shall come with all required Personal Protective Equipment including, CSA approved hard hat, CSA Approved Steel Toe Boots with a 6" ankle, High-Visibility Vests, Safety Glasses, and A4 Cut Resistant Gloves, as well as specialized personal protective equipment necessary to complete the work (scope specific - i.e., full body harness with harness inspection certificate, respirator, etc.) .7 Every worker shall be required to participate in the Pre-Task Planning (PTP) cards process in English and update this card as the task changes.
